Shelling and Snorkeling

Looking for the perfect vacation day? Let us get you there! How about a sand bar surrounded by crystal clear water? Big Pass sits right between Siesta Key and Lido Key and is home to a few awesome sandbars. Its the perfect spot for some shelling or grab some complementary snorkel gear and see what else you can find. Pack a lunch, we will provide a Yeti 65 quart ice chest, ice, bottled water and sodas. If you are visiting Sarasota, Siesta Key or Venice Florida and are looking the perfect Adventure to see it all then our half and full day charter is the way to go. Our half day boat tours and charters serving Sarasota, Siesta Key and Venice Florida depart at 9:00am and 11:30am daily, 7 days a week.

On most half day tours we have plenty of time to snorkel Point of Rocks and stop at the sandbar. Getting to Point of Rocks isn’t accessible on windy days since it is in the Gulf of Mexico. Point of Rocks sits at the very south end of Crescent beach and extends south about a mile. It’s not a coral reef, it’s exactly what it’s named after, a Point of Rocks. Point of Rocks is a unique series of rock formations created from limestone, molluscan grindstone, and quartz thought to have been formed perhaps 4300 years ago! It attracts some incredible wildlife too. On clear days there are plenty of fish to see. In the summer months you can catch a Spotted Eagle Ray or two hanging out and we have even seen Manta Rays here as well as Manatee.

Snorkeling gear is provided, if you have a waterproof camera or Gopro you will want to bring it along.
